It's a new decade, and the beginning of a new era for Simplex Creative Group. As we enter our ninth year in business, we are very pleased to announce our membership to Ignition Alley. Ignition Alley is an incredible community of developers, creative marketers, and entrepreneurs working both independently and often times together in the same physical space. Part office suite and part startup incubator, the Ignition Alley concept is commonly referred to as "coworking". Coworking's community-focused collaborative work environments are a relatively new concept. Ignition Alley and other communities across the country and around the world have witnessed exponential growth, especially over the last 2 years. For Simplex, the environment is absolutely perfect. The immediate access to other freelance professionals and independent contractors allows our company to be a true "group" of highly skilled creative professional capable of handling projects of any size.
The physical space offered by Ignition Alley is also very exciting for us. The building is located in the heart of the Poncey-Highland district in Atlanta and has a very chic and funky metropolitan flavor. The building can loosely be broken into three separate areas. The main area or "loud room" is a café-like setting with an eclectic mix of couches, chairs, and tables where people are encouraged to work and interact freely. The "quiet room" next door offers a more traditional workspace with desks and benches for those preferring to work in a slightly less social environment. Next to the quiet room is a conference room that can be reserved for meetings, training classes, and private client meetings. The room features a large conference table, an enormous whiteboard wall, and a projector for large presentations. Beneath the quiet room is 1,500 square feet of flex space currently under construction for large training sessions, networking events, and small conferences.
We are very excited to be a part of this new Atlanta community. The potential of the coworking concept is truly unlimited. After only a few days here, I can't help but feel like I am taking part in a revolutionary experiment that could change the way designers, developers, and entrepreneurs collaborate now and in the future. I personally cannot wait for you to stop by, grab a seat on one of the couches or in the conference room and collaborate with the goal of taking your brand to new heights in 2010 and in the new decade.
